Spring weather is officialy present with its many “mood swings” of alternating between balmy temperatures and cooler windy days that call for less heavy types of outerwear. I have now the perfect excuse to wear one of my favorite fashion items on repeat which is the trusty blazer. It’s actually one of those easy wardrobe staples with longevity past the current season especially if you opt for a neutral colourway.
This season though you’ll see them in many different shades and shapes. A bright-coloured number is the way to go if you want to achieve that eye-catching statement look inspired straight from the runway. Also feel free to play around with different blazer cuts according to taste including the boyfriend oversized, the classic tailored, the cinched or the cropped version.
You can easily dress it up or down whether you choose to go dressy or casual. I love pairing it with shorts and sneakers or boots to kickstart the beginning of legs-out season in a cool and less revealing way.
It’s always a good idea to transition your sports attire from the gym to a coffee date with friends by simply adding a blazer. Or you can pop it over a simple white tank top and a pair of baggy jeans or cargo pants for that effortlessly cool off-duty look.
You can never go wrong with the bralette and blazer combo, which admittedly has to be my favorite. Add a pair of tailored pants to the equation and you’ll have the perfect masculine-feminine mix. Last but certainly not least, I believe we can all agree that our beloved blazer pairs so well with a dress and strappy heels, making for a great outfit for a date night.
